Sonya encounters a man connected to her past, and Marco learns of danger in his own department. When Eva is threatened, Hank takes her to safety. Meanwhile, a prosecutor from Mexico City may stir up more trouble at the Chihuahua State Police Department. And a strange woman, Eleanor, seeks answers about the money confiscated from Millie Quintana's house. Her search leaves a bloody trail.

Both the US and Mexican police search for the mysterious woman linked to murders and Millie Quintana's money, and the DEA get involved in the case when one of their own turns up dead. Frye and Adriana make a grisly discovery, while Eleanor, laying low, gets help from young boy.

Sonya and Marco work together to find Eleanor, while she disposes of a body and arranges to cross the border. Frye and Adriana stake out bank ATMs, and Charlotte and Ray's drug shipment for Fausto gets stolen. Out of fear, they flee. Linder and Eva are reunited, but once he learns what happened to her, Linder takes matters into his own hands.

A banker's death brings Sonya and Marco new clues about Eleanor, leading them back across the border into Mexico. There, Marco learns the true extent of Fausto's reach. This leads him to Abelardo, and they plot to bring Captain Robles to justice. Charlotte and Ray are caught by Fausto's henchman, but they are given a new assignment. Sonya deals with the death of her sister's killer while continuing a relationship with his brother, Jack.

Eva gives a statement of the crimes committed against her to Sonya, Hank and Abelardo. The information puts them all at risk, especially Abelardo, Marco meets with Fausto, who gives him the opportunity to exact his revenge against the man who killed his son. And Fausto gets his revenge against the gang of kids who stole one of his shipments. Marco pays a visit to prison.

Eva's case takes a turn when someone is killed, and Sonya and Marco are attacked while trying to recover the missing affidavit. Eva decides to take matters into her own hands. Frye and Adriana try to publish their story, leading to trouble at work. Sonya and Hank follow a tip about Eleanor to the Red Ridge Development. Their visit is witnessed and Fausto is informed.

Jack shows Sonya the skeleton he found, and she learns the truth about her sister's death. Her relationship with both Hank and Jack are put to the test. Marco lies about the attack at Abelardo's hotel, and receives a medal for bravery, using it as leverage against Captain Robles. Fausto tells Marco he will take care of David Tate since Marco would not. Charlotte is confronted by the DEA.

With new information from Adriana, Sonya begins to put together the pieces of Red Ridge View. When Joe tells her about Marco's past, their relationship is put to the test. And her pursuit of Fausto puts her in danger, even though Fausto himself is on the run. Sebastian wants out of his deal with Fausto and turns to Eleanor, but she wants something in return. Eva and Linder continue their quest for revenge.

Fausto's hitman takes Sonya to kill her and dispose of the body, but Marco finds out and races to save her before it's too late. Eleanor and Cesar meet at Red Ridge View to make a deal. Charlotte informs Joe and Pete who bring Hank to capture Eleanor. Fausto finds out that he's being double-crossed and sends men to kill everyone. A bloody shootout leaves only a few standing.

When Hank goes missing, Sonya's gut leads her and Marco to the massacre at Red Ridge View. Monte tends to Eleanor as Cesar kidnaps Hank. Eleanor deals with a wounded Hank in hopes of finding the missing ledger. Fausto gains the upper hand against Sebastian when he kidnaps Romina.

Fausto leverages Sebastian's daughter to stop the search parties and insure his escape. The DEA and CIA step in on Sonya's investigation of Eleanor. Hank helps Sonya secure the ledger. Marco looks for help as he travels to the mountains to take down Fausto. Frye and Adriana find a new lead in Joe McKenzie's files. Sebastian does what he can to keep Fausto from killing Romina.

Sonya and Hank follow a lead taken from Eleanor's ledger, while Eleanor attempts to clean up and render the ledger useless. Marco offers Fausto the chance to be arrested instead of killed, and Fausto contemplates a way to escape on his own terms. Linder makes a decision regarding Robles that puts his relationship with Eva on the rocks.

Hank and Sonya continue to investigate, when vehicles from the crossroads bring up new leads involving the CIA. Marco does his best to protect Romina from Fausto as they continue to run from the marines. Frye deals with pressure to drop the story as Adriana pushes a new source. Buckley sets out to silence Frye and Adriana. Eleanor finds what she's been looking for.
